Truth be told, I've never defended anyone accused of drinking and flying. We are cognizant of the hypoxia issues involved and drinking and flying and I've never met anyone who did it. I've only seen them on the news like you have.

However, I have defended many a person who has found themselves behind the wheel of a car after having a few too many drinks. The consequences for the driver are bad enough, but for the pilot, they can be even worse.

But they don't have to be. There are some mandatory reporting requirements that must be made to the FAA and some steps you have to take to ensure the retention of your job, if related to flying, and medical, but is possible to keep your license to fly despite having lost your license to drive.

If you have been accused of drinking and driving, please contact us right away so that we can take the appropriate steps to deal with the FAA, Department of Licensing, and Court system. I hope you never have to use my services in this regard, but if you do, we will be there for you. Use our email system right away or call our office and we will return the call as quickly as possible. (253) 479-0241.

Now more than ever, it is important what you say and what you don't say. If you have taken anything away from this website and our general tone in discussing representation, this is it. Don't speak with anyone until you have spoken with counsel. Even if it isn't our firm. Find another attorney before you speak with the authorities. Please don't make the mistake of thinking you can handle it on your own. You have worked too hard and too long to risk losing everything. Take the time to have an advocate speak for you.
